34,000 - 38,000, Hassocks (outskirts), Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm, Hybrid Working, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, staff discount, discretionary bonus scheme, pension, parking

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Brand Manager to join a market leading manufacturer and retailer of health and wellbeing consumer products. As Brand Manager for the company's range of Wellbeing products, you will be responsible for developing strategies to enhance their penetration into the multiple grocery sector, leading health food shops, and pharmacies, as well as overseeing the detailed roll out of these strategies by working very closely with the sales team. You will also work alongside the NPD team and be responsible for identifying new sectors for their Wellbeing range. Alongside Senior Management, you will help develop the creation and execution of brand campaigns both in social and mainstream media, as well as working with the sales team to develop bespoke promotions for our retail customers.

  1. Supporting the overall management of the brand's performance and evolution to increase sales, strengthen market positioning, and grow awareness.
  2. Championing overall brand architecture strategy with the wider teams.
  3. Collating and analysing cost of goods across existing and new products in line with margin and commercial expectations.
  4. Supporting 12-24-month new product development pipeline with our NPD team.
  5. Working closely with the NPD team to identify gaps in the market and developing relevant products.
  6. Collaborating with the Commercial team on supporting specific trade marketing activity.
  7. Working closely with Digital and PR teams on supporting consumer marketing activity.
  8. Ensuring brand identity is consistent across all trade and consumer activity.
  9. Collaborating with Commercial and Supply Chain teams to ensure our sourcing strategy works across all products including our Private Label business.
  10. Ability to write copy in line with brand guidelines for both packaging and marketing collateral.
  11. Managing and promoting brand identity through POS, training academies, and trade material.
  12. Continuous development of our marketing collateral.
  13. Creating sales presentations and trade sell-in documents.
  14. Supporting the sales team with store events and promotions, producing specific marketing material and training.
  15. Ability to evaluate brand activities undertaken in terms of ROI.
  16. Ensuring the brand is competitive in the market, optimising communications strategies, packaging, and pricing.
  17. Understanding consumer needs and insights within the sector and how the brand is performing vs other brands and how market segmentation can help improve profitable growth.

Requirements

We would expect the successful Brand Manager to demonstrate previous experience in Brand Management or Marketing in a consumer product environment. Experience within health, wellness, bath & body, beauty sectors is desired but not essential. You will be commercially aware, with competent project management skills. You will have experience of NPD processes and a well-rounded, innovative approach to marketing. This role could suit someone who has worked as a Marketing Manager, Brand Specialist, or Product Marketing Lead.
