UNILAD is looking for a Brand Editor to drive our editorial strategy, ensuring our content is fresh, relevant, and resonates with our audience. What You’ll Do:
- Lead Editorial Strategy – Oversee the creation and curation of high-quality content that aligns with UNILAD’s brand values and audience interests.
- Manage & Mentor a Team – Guide and support a team of Social Editors, providing feedback, setting performance goals, and fostering a collaborative work culture.
- Drive Content Performance – Develop and execute strategies to boost audience engagement and growth across multiple platforms, with a strong focus on Facebook and Google.
- Analyse & Optimise – Use analytics tools like Chartbeat and Google Analytics to track content performance, derive insights, and refine strategies.
- Collaborate Across Teams – Work closely with Social Video, Audience, and other departments to ensure cohesive brand messaging and content distribution.
- Stay Ahead of Trends – Monitor platform trends, news agendas, and audience preferences to inform content strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
What You’ll Need:
- Proven Editorial Experience – Demonstrated success in sourcing and producing engaging content within an online publishing environment, ideally with a focus on US-based content.
- People Management Skills – Experience leading a team and setting key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive professional growth.
- Social Media Expertise – In-depth knowledge of platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, with experience in driving engagement and audience growth.
- Search Traffic Growth Knowledge – Experience optimising content for visibility on Google Discover and Google News.
- Strong Analytical Abilities – Proficiency in using analytics tools to assess content performance and inform editorial decisions.
- Leadership & Communication – Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to inspire and manage a creative team.
- Adaptability – A proactive approach to working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects effectively.
