Job Title: Branch Operations Manager

Location: Derby

Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE

Are you an experienced and eager Branch Operations Manager ready for an exciting new role? Our client is looking for a motivated individual to support their Branch Manager in the Operations Departments of their Derby branch.

You will be accountable for the driving and warehouse teams, analyzing performance and driving growth while ensuring all company values and policies are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead, coach, and develop the Warehouse Operatives, Drivers, Logistic Supports, and Logistic Co-ordinators.
  2. Manage resource requirements for the branch.
  3. Oversee all warehouse operations using the warehouse management system, ensuring that received stock is put away and efficiently stored to meet customer needs.
  4. Ensure the delivery of customer orders, evaluating adherence to SLAs.
  5. Problem-solve operational issues to mitigate risk to service disruption.
  6. Process returns and warranties in accordance with company procedures.
  7. Undertake warehouse operations or logistics tasks if required.
  8. Perform daily checks of delivery vehicles and preventative maintenance.
  9. Monitor and replenish fuel levels for the branch.
  10. Conduct employee performance reviews, check-ins, and handle grievance proceedings.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Act as the operations representative for the branch.
  2. Escalate issues to the Branch Manager or other stakeholders.
  3. Support the Branch Manager in implementing best practices to achieve branch KPIs and company growth.
  4. Adhere to company health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, maintaining procedures in accordance with the company's management system and other regulatory standards.
  5. Promote company values and a culture of continuous improvement.
  6. Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Working Hours:

45 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8.5-hour days), with alternate Saturdays. Hours between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM, including a 30-minute meal break.

Requirements:
  1. Proven experience of leading, developing, and coaching operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Ability to analyze data and implement appropriate solutions to satisfy business needs.
  3. Experience working in a customer service-focused environment.
  4. Experience representing the company and team on behalf of internal and external customers.
  5. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities with the ability to build rapport.
  6. Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments while maintaining a calm manner.
  8. Excellent attention to detail.
  9. Results-driven and a true problem solver.
  10. Competent with Microsoft Office 365 or similar.
Desirable:
  1. Leadership and management qualification (CMI/ILM or similar).
  2. Level 3 in Warehousing Management.
  3. Working knowledge of Warehouse Stock Management systems and processes.
