Branch / Management Accountant

Management / Branch Accountant | Shrewsbury area | Temp to Perm or Permanent | up to £40,000 + Bonus

Newly created site-based role for an experienced Management Accountant, preferably temporary to permanent, although a straight permanent contract could be offered for the right person.

The Company

Seymour John are delighted to be exclusively supporting our client on a newly created role owing to a recent restructure within the Finance Team. This business has seen significant growth in recent years both organically and by acquisition, with future growth plans in place.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the MD, working as part of a collaborative finance team where you will take ownership of the management accounting process for your own business units; duties will include:

1. Liaise with Accounts Team Leader to ensure all monthly transactions are appropriately accounted for.
2. Monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments.
3. Balance sheet reconciliations for all sites.
4. Liaising and building relationships with internal stakeholders alongside query resolution.
5. Preparing draft accounts to deadlines for review by FD.
6. ONS submissions.
7. Produce and report on KPI's.
8. VAT returns.
9. Supplier payment authorisation.
10. Support with annual budget alongside mid-year forecasting.
11. Support FD with various projects.

Are you an experienced Management Accountant who enjoys working as part of a close team? If you are looking for an opportunity which will see you take ownership for the management accounts for your own business units whilst working collaboratively with another management accountant, this is the perfect position for you. You will be part of process improvements and improving both internal and external relationships to ensure the finance function runs smoothly with the support of a highly credible FD.

Benefits and Hours

Hours - typical hours 8.30am-5.00pm (flexible) - 8-6 site open.
22 days + statutory bank holidays and birthday off.
