Bosun/Gangway/Crane Operator – SOV

The Company currently has vacancies for Bosun/Gangway/Crane Operators in its SOV fleet.

Essential Qualifications:

• SMST Gangway
• Stage 3 Crane Operator

Preferred Qualifications:

• HERTL

Bosun/Gangway/Crane Operator is Responsible for the Following:

• Operation of the vessel’s motion compensated gangway.
• Operation of the vessel’s motion compensated crane.
• Oversee Deck Maintenance and Operations in line with the Chief Officer’s instruction and guidance.
• Ensure Deck Ratings perform work in accordance with the above, safely and according to best practice.
• The execution of duties as designated by watch keeping rota. Bosun is responsible to the Watch Keeping Officer on Watch for any/all duties.
• Bosun should be familiar with the use of Breathing Apparatus and possess basic Fire Fighting Skills.
• Forming part of both the vessel's on-board Emergency Response team and Rescue Craft's where applicable.
• Monitoring safe working practices of shore contractors during periods of maintenance.
• Actively promoting and progressing the company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
