Job Description

As a Full-time Bookkeeper, you’ll play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of this impactful organization. Responsibilities

  • Masterfully manage bank reconciliations using Xero, ensuring pinpoint accuracy in financial records.
  • Conduct meticulous data entry for a wide range of financial transactions, maintaining the integrity of financial information.
  • Efficiently process and manage timesheets for a diverse workforce, ensuring timely and accurate payroll operations.
  • Take charge of accounts payable and receivable tasks, optimizing cash flow and vendor relationships.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the Australia-based finance team, contributing to strategic financial planning and reporting.
  • Integrate accounting data with other business systems, enhancing overall operational efficiency.
  • Adapt to the dynamic needs of a growing organization, taking on additional bookkeeping duties as required.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of proven bookkeeping experience, demonstrating a track record of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Advanced proficiency in Xero accounting software, with the ability to leverage its full capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of Australian tax systems and financial regulations, particularly as they relate to the disability services sector.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data accuracy.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate financial concepts clearly to non-finance team members.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative, remote team environment.
  • Experience integrating accounting software with other business systems (e.g., Shiftcare) is highly advantageous.
  • Passion for contributing to a socially impactful organization and improving the lives of individuals with disabilities.
  • Flexibility to align working hours with Australian business operations, ensuring real-time collaboration with the core team.

Please note that since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, candidates must have their own computer and internet connection.
