Job description

  5. Collaborative: You'll work closely with the Directors and other team members, so being a team player is key.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English
  2. Bookkeeping qualification (AAT, CIMA, or equivalent)

Main Role:

This is your chance to join a forward-thinking company in a varied and technical Bookkeeper role. You'll play a key part in managing financial operations and helping us stay at the top of our game. With your strong attention to detail, you'll work closely with the Directors and Finance Manager to ensure our financial processes are seamless, accurate, and efficient.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage finances: Process invoices, payments, and bank transactions using Sage 50c Accounts and our job costing program.
  2. Produce reports: Generate and maintain accurate Management Accounts, including Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and Profit & Loss statements.
  3. VAT Returns: Process VAT returns and submit via Making Tax Digital (Sage).
  4. Cashflow and budgets: Help prepare cashflow forecasts, budgets, and work-in-progress reports.
  5. Support: Assist with payroll, pensions, and liaise with the Company's Accountant for final accounts.
  6. Team player: Help train and support apprentices and junior staff, contributing to the smooth running of the business.

Remuneration:

The salary will be £25,000 to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
