Role Overview

As a Bodyshop Controller, you will be required to lead the Bodyshop Team in line with the skills and behaviours associated with the Citygate Experience and Brand Values.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as Bodyshop Controller will be:

• Lead the Prep Team in line with the skills and behaviours associated with the Citygate Experience and Brand Values.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Prep reception to ensure the achievement of key targets (e.g. BodyShop loading, customer journey, estimate conversion rates, labour sales).
• Continuously review and improve Bodyshop processes and systems to deliver increased levels of customer satisfaction whilst maximising profitability and quality of workmanship.
• Work with colleagues across Citygate to investigate and resolve customer complaints.
• Achieve estimating standards and KPIs.
• Perform SMART estimating within the service department.
• Manage and develop individuals within the team, monitoring staff training needs, ensuring training and development plans are in place and up to date for all members of the team.
• Provide advice and sign-off on key issues.
• Oversee paint warranty claims processing, ensuring manufacturer's requirements are strictly adhered to.
• Plan and manage resource requirements.
• Ensure opportunities for sales by other teams are followed up by the most appropriate specialist.

About You

As a Bodyshop Controller, you will ideally have the following skills and attributes:

• Previous experience as Paint and Body Supervisor.
• Ability to supervise the daily workload of the bodyshop team.
• Good organisational skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Proactive ability to follow up.
