Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – Starting pay at $70/hour – San Jose, CA

The Role

Are you a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) looking for an opportunity to have a small caseload (2-4 clients) where you set your own schedule? Are you looking for a company focused on providing ethical, play-based ABA services? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Joyscape Therapy, a unique San Jose-based company with a team of all BCBAs and Master's-level clinicians, is seeking a BCBA to join our team.

In this leadership role, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to neurodivergent children and teens. You will work directly with clients in diverse settings such as homes, daycares, and our San Jose center, ensuring each session is tailored to meet individual needs. Instead of supervising entry-level clinicians, you will be assessing, data collecting, and implementing the treatment plan yourself.

Please note, candidates MUST have an active/valid BCBA certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Delivering high-quality, ethical, family-centred ABA therapy directly to clients.
  2. Developing, managing, and implementing treatment plans.
  3. Completing comprehensive assessments and reports.
  4. Creating ethical Behaviour Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  5. Providing ongoing parent coaching and collaboration.
  6. Analysing data and monitoring progress, modifying plans as needed.
  7. Collaborating with other professionals and encouraging a multidisciplinary approach.
  8. Continuously learning and developing your clinical skills.
  9. (Optional) Providing BCBA training and supervision to BCBA candidates.

The Company

Joyscape Therapy utilizes naturalistic learning strategies to teach communication, socialization, and daily living skills through play-based, child-directed therapy based in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Therapy is provided by BCBA and Master's-level therapists specialized in play-based ABA, typically utilizing methodologies which include PRT, NET, and/or ESDM.

The Person:

To be successful in this role, you will be a:
  1. BCBA with a Master's degree in a related field.
  2. Experienced BCBA with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in ABA, 2+ years as a BCBA.
  3. Skilled in goal setting, report writing, and assessments (AFLS, VB-MAPP, Vineland-3).
  4. Positive, energetic, and a strong communicator with excellent collaboration skills.
  5. Driver's license with reliable transportation.
  6. Experience in implementing naturalistic ABA (NET, NDBI, ESDM, and/or PRT).
