Qualifications

  • Mindestens HNC/HND oder Abschluss in einem relevanten Bereich erforderlich.

Responsibilities

  • Durchführung von Produktionsprozessen gemäß SOPs und GMP-Praktiken.
  • Überwachung der GMP-Anlage zur Gewährleistung der Einhaltung von Standards.
  • Durchführung von Routine-Reinigungen der Fertigungsanlage.

Job description

Hobson Prior is seeking a Bioprocessing Scientist - Upstream to join our client's team in London. In this role, you will focus on manufacturing processes and maintaining high standards in a biotechnology setting. Your work will be crucial in ensuring the production of quality gene therapy products.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform production processes, following SOPs and GMP practices to manufacture required products.
  2. Proficient in the use of aseptic manufacturing techniques to assure the manufacture of intermediate sterile products.
  3. Operate to appropriate GMP practices within clean room environment to assure continued compliance within those areas.
  4. Carrying out the day-to-day monitoring of the GMP facility to ensure that the facility operates in a compliant and safe manner to allow the production of gene therapy products at the required standards.
  5. Perform routine cleaning of the manufacturing facility.
  6. Perform the environmental monitoring of the manufacturing facility.
  7. Conduct regular stock checks and assist in the maintenance of the stock inventory.
  8. Assist in stock control including ordering against defined specifications and receipt of materials, appropriate storage of starting biological products, (Quality Control QC) approval and release of materials for use.
  9. To ensure all equipment used is calibrated/maintained and in line with SOP's.
  10. Recognize and report procedural problems and deviations.
  11. Participate in the planning of duties to ensure customers receive products on time and in full.
  12. Any other duties/projects as are responsible and within the skills and ability of the post holder.
  13. If required, support technology transfer activities as new processes are transferred into manufacturing.
Job Background:
  1. Either BTEC HNC/HND or degree in a relevant scientific discipline with practical laboratory elements (or equivalent) or relevant previous experience.
  2. Experience in pharmaceutical product manufacture (preference for biologics and aseptic manufacture).
  3. GMP Experience.
  4. Practical experience of sample preparation and analysis.
  5. Need to be numerate.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) preferred.
