Introduction

Your role and responsibilities

A Quality Engineer with expertise in Automation specializes in creating and maintaining automated testing solutions for IT systems and applications. They possess in-depth knowledge of various test automation tools and technologies, using them to build optimized test scenarios, develop automation for executing tests, and manage test data and environment-related automation. This role requires understanding and integrating testing automation into overall delivery automation, aligning with contemporary trends like Agile, DevOps, and Containers. In summary, a Quality Engineer: Automation is a skilled professional who streamlines testing processes through automation, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery.

Required technical and professional expertise

Creating and executing test automation to execute biometric workflows and matching. Tests will execute back-end web-services as the system does not have a UI. Work will include constructing appropriate input test messages and expected outputs for a wide range of scenarios and automating the creation of these inputs to accelerate delivery. Testing will cover functional and non-functional (performance/operability aspects).

  • Automation and scripting
  • Test technologies including SOAP-UI, JMeter, Jira, Zephyr, knowledge of XML and SOAP Web Services.
