We are currently seeking an experienced Locum Biomedical Scientist with a strong background in Histology to join a dynamic team in Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional looking to contribute to a busy, fast-paced laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation, processing, and examination of histological samples.
• Handling of tissue specimens and ensuring appropriate documentation.
• Assisting with the performance of routine and specialist histology techniques.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations within the laboratory.
• Supporting senior staff with diagnostic testing and case reviews.

Requirements:

• HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
• Previous experience in Histology, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Excellent understanding of laboratory processes and quality control.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team.

Desirable:

• Experience with immunohistochemistry (IHC) and other specialized histology techniques.

Location: Kent
Duration: Locum position with potential for extension.
