Biology Teacher – Secondary Academy, Haringey

A high-achieving and well-resourced secondary academy in Haringey is seeking a passionate and dedicated Biology Teacher to join their thriving Science department from April or September 2025. With a dynamic team of experienced Science specialists, the department fosters a collaborative and engaging learning environment where students consistently achieve excellent results at GCSE and A-Level. Key Responsibilities – Biology Teacher:

1. Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Biology lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
2. Inspire a love for Science through practical investigations, discussions, and real-world applications.
3. Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted support and feedback to ensure strong outcomes and meet individual learning needs.
4. Contribute to curriculum development, sharing best practices and resources with colleagues.
5. Support students in preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations, fostering high aspirations and academic excellence.
6. Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives, including enrichment activities and trips.

Person Specification - Biology Teacher:

1. UK QTS required with a strong subject knowledge in Biology.
2. A passionate and dynamic teacher with the ability to motivate and challenge students of all abilities.
3. A collaborative team player, eager to contribute to a supportive and high-performing Science department.
4. A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practice.
5. Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
