Biology Teacher

An all boys school based in Hounslow is looking for a Biology Teacher to start after the Easter break.

The school is looking for someone to start on a long-term contract until at least July 2025.

This position is full-time. Working hours are from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Salary will match outer London MPS/UPS.

The school has available parking spaces.

Responsibilities:

1. Deliver expert instruction in biology, guiding students through complex biological concepts, systems, and processes while ensuring they understand real-world applications of their learning.
2. Support students' scientific development by fostering their curiosity, analytical skills, and critical thinking abilities through diverse biological exercises, experiments, and learning opportunities.
3. Encourage lifelong learning by nurturing students' love for biology and developing their ability to explore and contribute to the field.
4. Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that motivates students to reach their full potential, both academically and personally.
5. Embrace the ethos of the school, contributing to a vibrant and dynamic learning community where students feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
2. A relevant degree - Biology Specialisation
3. Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Approachable and encouraging
