Your Role:

As a Senior Bid Writer, you'll take ownership of the bid process from start to finish, ensuring submissions are of the highest quality, aligned with client needs, and strategically positioned to win. Working closely with internal teams, you'll develop persuasive narratives that showcase expertise, innovation, and added value.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing Winning Bids:

1. Craft compelling, high-quality bid responses that highlight our capabilities and competitive edge.
2. Ensure responses align with client requirements, delivering persuasive, well-structured narratives.
3. Maintain and enhance bid libraries, including case studies, CVs, and key content for future use.
4. Support the team in preparing for post-tender interviews, ensuring consistency and clarity in messaging.

Quality, Compliance & Strategic Alignment:

1. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure submissions meet the highest standards in quality, compliance, and brand alignment.
2. Conduct in-depth research to tailor responses to specific client needs and industry trends.
3. Continuously refine and improve bid content, integrating best practices to maintain a competitive advantage.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

1. Work closely with business development, marketing, and technical teams to ensure seamless bid coordination.
2. Liaise with graphic designers and marketing professionals to enhance bids with impactful visuals and clear messaging.
3. Act as a key ambassador, ensuring bid responses consistently position the company as an industry leader.

Commercial & Financial Awareness:

1. Ensure all financial elements of bids are accurate and aligned with strategic business objectives.
2. Provide strategic input on bid pricing narratives, reinforcing a strong commercial proposition.

Fostering a Culture of Excellence:

1. Promote a high-performance bid culture, mentoring junior writers and supporting continuous improvement.
2. Drive engagement with internal stakeholders to streamline bid processes and ensure timely, high-quality submissions.

What Success Looks Like:

1. 90%+ success rate on SQs, Sifting Briefs, and EOIs
2. Consistently high quality scores (75%+) on written bid responses
3. Flawless bid management, ensuring all deadlines are met and submissions stand out

What We're Looking For:

1. Proven experience as a Bid Writer or Senior Bid Writer, ideally within architecture, consultancy, or the built environment
2. Outstanding writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to transform technical information into engaging content
3. Strong organisational and project management skills, handling multiple deadlines with ease
4. A strategic mindset with a deep understanding of client needs and market positioning
5. A collaborative approach, working cross-functionally to deliver best-in-class bid submissions
