Job description

Here at Yourconstruction we are seeking a bid writer to join our friendly team in Stoke on Trent. My client are experts in Renewable energy and solutions and looking for their next Bid writer to join a lovely team.

The successful candidate will provide the Operation Leads with method statement drafts and content support for submissions including pre-qualification, tenders and approved supplier lists.

You will work closely with the Business Development Director in marketing the business to drive success.

As such, this is an office-based role, and you will need to be within a commutable distance from our Head Office in Stoke on Trent. Hybrid working would also be considered.

MUST HAVE PREVIOUS BID WRITING EXPERIENCE.

Responsibilities:

  1. Drafting of method statements and content based upon writing plans or other support provided by the client specifications and standards.
  2. The review of Invitation to Tender documents to determine contractor activities and responsibilities.
  3. To provide summaries and reviews of standard professional documentation in relation to bids for incorporation into bids or advice.
  4. To attend Bidder Days or other associated conferences, supporting the submission of high-quality bids where representation is required.
  5. To proofread and review any submission submitted by other members of the Bid Team.
  6. To effectively manage bid project milestones to ensure a timely submission for bids.
  7. Ensuring that all key information from the Invitation to Tender has been extracted and included.
  8. Provide market sounding submissions to clients or prospective clients as required.
  9. To liaise with relevant colleagues with the Phoenix Group to gain comprehensive and relevant process information for inclusion in bids.
  10. Support the development and maintenance of the Bid Library.
  11. Assisting to run and administer social media for the business.
  12. Working with the management team to develop the business further.
  13. Any other ad hoc duties.

Experience:

  1. Experience of Bid Project Management.
  2. Proven track record of successful bid writing.
  3. Proven track record of working to agreed timescales.

Competencies:

  1. Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Excellent computer skills.
  3. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  4. Must have a flexible approach to working hours, as business needs dictate.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 08.00am - 16.45pm and Friday 08.00 - 16.30pm.

The successful candidate will have 28 days annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays, and the potential to earn another 5 days with length of service, plus an additional day Birthday Leave after 12 months.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
