Job description

CALLING ALL BID WRITERS!

Our client is seeking a Bid Writer to join their team on a permanent basis. The Bid Writer will be able to handle a busy workload and act as a mentor to the Bid Coordinator. The Bid Writer will be developing further with the growing company and will play a key part in the company.

Key Responsibilities for the Bid Writer:
  1. Management and development of the company knowledge bank for bid writing and present new content to the knowledge bank for potential reuse.
  2. Support and coach the existing Bid Coordinator.
  3. Analysing content of tenders, researching and orchestrating responses from all disciplines which can be used in formulating responses to suit the tender.
  4. Preparing written editorial content for inclusion in case studies, brochures, award submissions, marketing materials, event invites, and client handouts.
  5. Interviewing internal members within the business to develop technical information contributing towards bid content.
  6. Developing clear, well-written bids from researched and orchestrated responses which convey operational, technical, and commercial solutions in a clear and concise manner.
  7. Delivering contract-winning bids through bid writing/coordination of the elements required to complete a bid.
  8. Identify and rework existing pre-written content where relevant.
Skills Required for the Bid Writer:
  1. Strong writing skills.
  2. High attention to detail.
  3. Good communicator and ability to build relationships with various stakeholders and all levels of seniority.
  4. Reasonable level of business acumen and industry understanding.
  5. Working experience in writing, preparing, or coordinating business proposals or bids.
  6. Planned maintenance / Refurbishment / Renewables / Retrofit / Construction industry experience.
  7. Proactive approach to work with excellent organisational skills, self-motivated also with ability to work in a team.
  8. Ability to work to deadlines under pressure.
