Bid Manager - Summary
To support the CT Skills 2025 growth strategy, we are looking to recruit an experienced Bid Manager to complement our existing Business Development and Marketing teams. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will research, develop, write and submit bids and tenders for contract opportunities across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
The role will primarily involve the identification and submission of bids and tenders to secure contracts to deliver adult skills provision, apprenticeships and programmes for people.
The role will incorporate submitting proposals to ensure CT Skills is able to successfully secure accreditation on NHS, DfE, DWP, Local Authority and Mayoral Authority procurement frameworks and then respond to associated Invitation to Tender opportunities.
The role will also incorporate networking and partnership building with other training providers, colleges, universities and public sector stakeholders to identify opportunities to work in collaboration to secure partnerships capable of winning large tenders with government departments.

Bid Manager - Skills Required
We are looking for somebody with exceptional bid writing, copy writing or proposal writing skills who will submit applications to secure contracts to deliver apprenticeships and education services for adults and people.
The successful applicant will have a good eye for detail with excellent written skills and can use IT portals to identify tender opportunities and submit tenders. You must be able to work well under pressure, often managing multiple bidding opportunities simultaneously.
Proofreading skills to identify strengths and weaknesses within a bid are essential along with the experience of collating information and presenting it following tender guidelines. They will integrate seamlessly within the Business Development team to ensure that all bids meet the brief, are innovative and are completed within the agreed timescales.
You will have at least twelve months proven experience in bid writing, with preference given to candidates who can demonstrate success in tendering for DfE, DWP, Mayoral Authority, Local Authority, NHS, Apprenticeship Levy or commercial contracts.
Knowledge of Social Value and Corporate Social Responsibility is advantageous.
