BI Data Analyst - Investment Management

We are looking for an experienced Contract Data/Reporting Analyst with advanced Power BI skills and investment knowledge to join our high performing reporting team. The clients vision is to deliver an excellent service to our client by leveraging the latest technology.

What You’ll Spend Your Time Doing

1. Transform the way we work by leveraging our new SQL Server data-hub to create reports through Power BI and Excel (using Power Query)
2. Assist with the various Change and Onboarding projects within MS AIML, focusing on the production and delivery of Management Information in an automated environment
3. Providing solutions to meet the ever evolving client requirements around MI
4. Preparation of monthly, quarterly MI reporting and Annual reporting for all clients including head office reporting
5. Preparation of the Performance Reporting
6. Identifying and resolving data quality issues
7. Evaluation of investment related data and timely provision of reports required for the formulation of investment strategy, including examination of asset allocation and performance
8. Provide cover for the Regulatory Reporting team as required

What We Need From You

1. Advanced Excel skills
2. Strong knowledge of Power BI and SQL/VBA
3. Experience of improving MI processes
4. Good understanding of Investment Book of Records (“IBOR”), Performance Measurement (GIPS standard)
5. Strong understanding of investment instruments across multiple asset classes (especially Fixed Income)
6. Strong understanding of what “good looks like” from a client perspective relating to MI
7. Familiarity with Bloomberg in order to evaluate financial data
8. Strong understanding of data management best practice, data governance and quality assurance
9. Focus on emerging risks, how to identify and mitigate these

Pay: £75-95k, Flexible plus a bonus
