BI Analyst

Our client, a prestigious financial service institution with two decades of experience in the foreign exchange marketplace, is seeking a skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Analyst. This role offers an exciting opportunity to transform data into actionable insights that drive decision-making across the organisation. The successful candidate will benefit from a deep understanding of data analysis, financial services, and business intelligence tools.

What you'll do:

• Understand business needs and gather detailed requirements
• Combine requirements from multiple teams into single points of truth
• Analyse complex requirements and decompose them into manageable tasks based on impact
• Produce well-designed PowerBI reports and dashboards that enrich users' daily tasks
• Document business and technical requirements
• Support legacy reports while aiding migration efforts
• Ensure best practices for data governance and management

What you bring:

• Prior experience in Banking or Financial Services
• Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban methodologies
• Experience with tools like Jira, Trello, Monday or similar
• Fluent English oral and written skills
• Ability to convey complex information to different stakeholders
• Experience with ETLs and/or data warehousing is a plus
• Great proficiency in SQL
• Proficiency in Excel (including some working knowledge of VBA)
• Good Experience with visualisation tools (Preferably PowerBI)
• Hands-on experience with scripting (Python, R or similar)
• Experience with Power Query and DAX are a big plus
