Our client in Surrey is seeking an Environmental Health Officer / Higher Certificate Technical Officer to take personal responsibility for the full range of Food and Health and Safety Enforcement casework. This role requires a solid understanding of the Food Act and/or Health and Safety at Work Act legislation, along with the ability to process complex correspondence efficiently and effectively, ensuring all tasks meet identifiable deadlines and align with the Council’s targets and objectives.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess one of the baseline qualifications and hold relevant registration. Acceptable qualifications include the Higher Certificate in Food Control, a certificate of registration, or a Diploma issued by the Environmental Health Registration Board.
The successful candidate must demonstrate the competencies required for the Inspection of Food Establishments (Cluster 4) and hold at least 10 hours of Food Core CPD as specified in the current version of the Food Law Code of Practice and Practice Guidance.
Before the contract commences, Buckingham Futures must retain copies of your relevant qualifications, CPD certificates, and certificates of registration with EHORB/EHRB (or equivalent) on file.
This role will be compensated on an hourly basis for a minimum of 3 months (likely to be extended ongoing)
