Job description

We are seeking a skilled Bench Joiner to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery and woodworking, with the ability to work on various projects that require precision and attention to detail. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling wooden structures and fixtures, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet our clients' specifications.

Manufacturing external doors made out of solid timber.

Responsibilities

1. Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture.
2. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
3. Carry out painting and finishing work to enhance the appearance of joinery products.
4. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and electricians, to ensure seamless project execution.
5. Plumb and roof structures as required by project specifications.
6. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
7. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.

Skills

1. Proficiency in joinery techniques and woodworking principles.
2. Experience with power tools and hand tools commonly used in the trade.
3. Ability to fabricate custom pieces according to design specifications.
4. Strong skills in painting and finishing techniques for woodwork.
5. Knowledge of plumbing and roofing practices is advantageous.
6. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
