Job description

With a history spanning more than 100 years, our client is a rapidly growing building management company that installs, retrofits, and upgrades building management systems across a range of clients all over the UK.

Due to continual success and growth in these markets, they are now recruiting for a number of Project Managers and Commissioning Engineers/BMS Project Managers to cover a number of existing and newly awarded "new build", commercial, and mixed–use projects across London. While most of these projects will be within London, there may be a need to support selected projects located outside of the M25.

As a Project Manager, you will assist Engineers in providing end–to–end solutions for how a building is controlled via the installation and upgrade of current BMS systems.

They are looking for Project Managers from an FM/Building Services background, so Project Management experience from within this sector would be beneficial.

In return, our client will offer a competitive salary + Company Car/5k Car allowance, or if desired, a freelance daily rate.

Requirements:

1. Project Management/Engineering experience within FM/BMS/Building Automation.
2. Knowledge of smart building, IoT, and automation systems.
3. Familiarity with building regulations, codes, and safety standards.
4. Proven experience in end–to–end project management, strong organisational and multitasking skills.
5. Experience of liaising with different engineers and clients to keep them updated on project progress.
6. Strong financial skills covering cost analysis/forecasting.
7. Effective cross–functional communication skills, collaborating seamlessly with program teams and sponsors.
8. Ability to prioritise tasks and create work schedules with minimal supervision.
9. Excellent troubleshooting, creative, and technical problem–solving skills.
10. Experience of working in the Smart Buildings Industry would be advantageous but is not essential.

M+E managers and Commissioning Managers who have limited BMS experience will be considered as training will be provided for the right individuals.
