Behaviour Support Assistant – Durham (1:1 SEMH Support)

Location: Durham | Job Type: Full-time, Temporary

Protocol Education is recruiting a Behaviour Support Assistant for a 1:1 role in Durham. You’ll support a pupil with high-level SEMH needs in a mainstream classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide consistent emotional and behavioural support
  2. Monitor progress and contribute to behaviour planning
  3. Collaborate with teachers and parents/carers
Requirements:
  1. Patience, compassion, and emotional intelligence
  2. Experience working 1:1 or in small groups
  3. Ability to manage difficult behaviour positively

Pay Scale: Depends on skills and experience brought to the role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
