Behaviour Mentor - Immediate Start
Location: Enfield
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Pay: £95-£100 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Duration: Until July 2025 (with potential for a permanent role)

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a secondary school in Enfield. This is a full-time position available from May to cover a staff member who will be away and presents an opportunity to support students with behavioural needs, helping them to develop socially, emotionally, and academically.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-to-one support for students exhibiting challenging behaviour
  2. Maintain a proactive presence around the school to encourage positive conduct
  3. Address low-level disruptions and help establish a focused classroom environment
  4. Support students with strategies to manage their emotions and behaviour
  5. Supervise students in the isolation room, ensuring they remain engaged with their learning
  6. Lead and manage detention sessions effectively

Candidate Profile:
  1. Have previous experience in a Behaviour Mentor role or similar position within a secondary school
  2. Be confident, compassionate, and assertive, with strong skills in setting boundaries
  3. Demonstrate excellent administrative ability; knowledge of SIMS is an advantage
  4. Be consistent, dependable, and supportive - providing stability to students who need it most
  5. Be physically active and comfortable moving throughout the school day to support behaviour management
