Job description

Field Service Technician / Battery Technician / Electrical Technician required for a UPS systems provider.

The successful Field Service Technician / Battery Technician / Electrical Technician will be responsible for carrying out routine battery maintenance and electrical maintenance to end user clients, contractors, and sub-contractors across the Home Counties (Hampshire, East Sussex, West Sussex, Kent, Essex, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, London, Surrey, Oxfordshire).

The successful candidate will have a hands-on electrical background and be willing to travel within the Home Counties and UK.

£27,000 - £30,000+
Overtime + 15% shift allowances

Role

1. Carrying out routine battery and electrical maintenance activities
2. Electrical maintenance, including but not limited to commissioning and fault diagnosis
3. Ensuring standards of service are maintained and improved in line with company requirements
4. Completing paperwork relating to site visits
5. Typically attend sites in pairs
6. No on-call duties
7. Report to the Service Manager
8. Covering the Home Counties (Hampshire, East Sussex, West Sussex, Kent, Essex, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, London, Surrey, Oxfordshire)

Requirements

1. Must have a hands-on electrical background - as a Field Service Technician, Battery Technician, Electrical Improver, Electrical Technician, Electrical Engineer or similar
2. Expected to work 21 weekends out of the year (approximately every 2-3 weeks)
3. Full UK driving license
4. Fully remote, willing to cover the Home Counties in the UK (Hampshire, East Sussex, West Sussex, Kent, Essex, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, London, Surrey, Oxfordshire)
