Job description

Brunswick East opened in Dalston in 2015 by sisters, Shaunae and Natasha. Our goal is to bring the very best of Australian cafe culture to East London. Encompassing brunch, speciality coffee, a bakery, and a rooftop farm, you can find us serving it large at our two locations in Dalston and Hackney Downs 7 days a week.

We are a friendly local cafe and bakery, passionate about creating an enjoyable environment while delivering exceptional food and coffee. Sustainability and reducing waste are very important to us and influence our seasonal menu, which features ingredients from local farms employing regenerative practices. Our local crowd loves a chat, so it’s important that you are skilled in the art of conversation and coffee shop banter (a friendly, bubbly demeanour and being generally unafraid of people will do it!).

In addition to being your charming and charismatic self, you will also be a skilled barista who enjoys serving customers. You’re joining a small and committed team, so being a team player who wants to contribute to a growing, independent business is a must.

THE ROLE
  • Slingin’ out the best silky boys all day long
  • Taking customer orders, processing payments, and running food
  • Ensuring excellent customer service at all times
  • Opening and closing the cafe
  • Day shifts with occasional evening shifts for events
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient workspace
  • Completing weekly prep list - speciality drinks from scratch such as horchata / iced coffee
  • Be comfortable multi-tasking, preparing cold drinks alongside making coffee
BENEFITS
  • Flexible hours
  • Staff meal provided
  • Free coffees all day long
  • Fun and supportive atmosphere
  • Opportunities for growth and skill development
