Job description

Bar Supervisor required for our client - a prestigious hotel located in Canterbury, Kent.

As Bar Supervisor, candidates require a background at a supervisory bar service level ideally, or an experienced bar person looking for a step up. Experience of beverage service is required for this opportunity including the service of cocktails, some wine knowledge, and service of food within your area including afternoon teas.

As Bar Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the smooth running of the bar and lounge area within the hotel, to ensure standards are maintained and excellent service is given to clients. You will ensure systems and controls are followed and in place to maximize sales for your department. You will ensure that high standards are consistently maintained. Candidates require a stable track record for this opportunity.

Shift work is involved, and this includes working weekends, which are the busiest time, and evenings/late shifts. You need to be hands-on and very engaging with your clientele, ensuring they receive a positive experience and in turn maximizing sales and return business.

The salary for Bar Supervisor is COMPETITIVE plus company benefits. Transport may be beneficial due to the shift work depending on where you live due to some late finishes. There is no live-in accommodation with this role.
