About the Role

Our award-winning Food and Beverage team are at the hub of our business, we have an exciting opportunity for a Bar Manager in the Road Hole Bar overlooking the Old Course. The Road Hole Bar has whisky enthusiasts flock from around the world to sample some of the three hundred whiskies we stock from all over Scotland. The bar also has an excellent selection of cocktails, champagnes and wines for our guests to enjoy.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Oversee the daily operation of the Road Hole Bar, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
2. Lead, motivate and manage bar associates to ensure excellent customer service.
3. Manage and schedule associates, including hiring, training and performance evaluations.
4. Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
6. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
7. Create and update the bar menu, focusing on innovative cocktails and beverages.
8. Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, cost control and revenue generation.
9. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.

Ideal Candidate will have:

1. Proven experience as a Bar Manager or a similar role.
2. WSET Level 1 or above.
3. Strong leadership and team management skills.
4. Excellent knowledge of whiskies, cocktails, beverages and bar operations.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
6. Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
7. Financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively.
8. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills.
9. A passion for the hospitality industry.

Full time, 40 hours over 5 days

Remuneration

£34,000 to £38,000 depending on experience
