Housed in a stunning former bank, our bar and restaurant offer a welcoming space where guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner, crafted with fresh Scottish produce.

We’re more than just a place to eat and drink—we’re a hub for the community. From live sports screenings and quiz nights to wine dinners and live music, McLarens is a lively, social venue. We also host private events, offering tailored experiences for birthdays, weddings, and special occasions.

As part of our team, you’ll be working in a fast-paced, friendly environment where customer experience is key. Whether front of house, behind the bar, or in the kitchen, you’ll help create memorable moments for our guests.

Bar and Floor Duties

1. Customer Service – Greet and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring an exceptional experience throughout their visit.
2. Bar Operations – Prepare and serve drinks, manage the bar area efficiently, and ensure all drink orders are fulfilled quickly and accurately.
3. Floor Management – Assist in overseeing the floor, ensuring tables are clean, orders are taken promptly, and customers are satisfied with their service.
4. Health & Safety Compliance – Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, ensuring the bar and floor areas are clean and safe for both staff and customers.
5. Cash Handling & Transactions – Process customer payments accurately, manage cash registers, and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.

Required Skills

1. Customer Service Excellence – Strong ability to engage with customers, anticipate their needs, and resolve any issues to ensure a positive experience.
2. Communication Skills – Clear and effective communication with customers, team members, and management to ensure smooth service and coordination.
3. Multi-tasking & Time Management – Ability to juggle multiple tasks, such as serving drinks, taking orders, and ensuring the floor runs smoothly, all while maintaining attention to detail.
4. Teamwork & Collaboration – Ability to work well as part of a team, supporting colleagues in both bar and floor areas to provide seamless service.
5. Knowledge of Food & Drink – A solid understanding of drink recipes, menu items, and bar equipment, ensuring drinks are prepared correctly and efficiently.
