We are looking to appoint a number of Bank Receptionists to join our busy teams covering ED, Admission wards and our Out Of Hours Admissions team.
As a Bank member of staff, you would play a vital role in the smooth running of the departments by covering shifts which would otherwise remain unfilled.
You will need some flexibility to pick up the variety of shifts that the roles offer within our busy 24/7 departments.
Our teams are often the first point of contact for patients coming into the departments and are responsible for ensuring patients are admitted onto the departments systems accurately and efficiently.
The applicants must have excellent organisation skills and be happy to work in a busy environment dealing with patients, relatives, and doctors' queries face-to-face, via email, and over the telephone.
To provide a flexible and efficient 24-hour comprehensive reception service within the Emergency Department, this includes booking in walk-in and ambulance patients. It is an ever-changing environment which runs 7 days a week, 365 days of the year, and you will be required to promote the smooth running of the Department by maintaining effective communication with patients, relatives, Multi-Disciplinary Team, other Divisions, and external agencies.
Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is an acute trust providing healthcare and community services for more than 400,000 people across Derbyshire.
We employ more than 4,500 colleagues across Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Primary Care, and DSFS (Derbyshire support and Facilities Services).
The receptionist post is an important role within our organisation and you would be a key part of our Acute Care Team; as such, you would be expected to support the Trust's vision and values.
COMPASSION - treating everyone with kindness - welcoming diversity and inclusion, considering individual needs; and challenging inappropriate behaviours outside of our values.
AMBITION - Aspiring to be the best - reaching high standards, providing exceptional care and services; and achieving measurable improvements in people's health and wellbeing.
RESPECT - Valuing and appreciating everyone - listening, learning and acting on their experiences, being open and honest; and recognising that working with others brings benefits.
ENCOURAGEMENT - Opportunities for all - supporting education and development, helping people to bring their improvement ideas to life and speak-up; and getting everyone involved in our future.
Please see the Job description and Person Specification in the attachments. This document contains a full detailed description of the role and what the main responsibilities and duties are along with the criteria that are required.
