Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Bank Project Worker at our Plymouth Domestic Abuse Service.

Role Overview
The role of Bank Project Worker will include:

  1. Regularly assessing the needs of clients by writing and updating support plans, and signposting access to education, training, and employment
  2. Assisting clients with managing finances and welfare benefits
  3. Encouraging social inclusion and helping clients to build their confidence, resilience and self-esteem
  4. Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the clients and actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required
  5. Promoting safe working practices by undertaking risk assessments within legislative frameworks

Skills and Experience
  1. You will have previous experience in a role supporting victims of domestic abuse or a background gained in a supported living environment in a project worker capacity
  2. Sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management
  3. Good understanding of occupancy agreements
  4. The ability to react effectively under pressure
  5. The ability to work on your own initiative and ability to source innovative solutions to problems
  6. You will be empathetic and non-judgmental with good interpersonal and customer care skills
  7. NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards, is essential
