We are looking to recruit a Bank Ophthalmic Technician to join our Virtual Clinic in Butterfield Ophthalmology Unit Team in Winchester. This dynamic role involves working as part of the Ophthalmic Imaging Team in the provision of a high-quality specialist diagnostic imaging service to the department of Ophthalmology.

The main responsibilities of this role are to assist the multidisciplinary team to provide an efficient and effective ophthalmic service. Duties include performing various ophthalmic investigations including visual field, OCT, eye pressure and visual acuity testing, which assesses the visual function of patients attending the eye clinic. It also enables a virtual clinical review, where the technician can perform the ophthalmic imaging and in a different virtual session the doctor can complete a virtual review of the patient, ensuring that more patients can be reviewed by the doctor than in a face-to-face clinic and the patient does not experience long waits to see the doctor in clinic.
