Main duties of the job

TITLE OF POST: Bank Specialist Physiotherapist Respiratory

SALARY BAND: Band 6

LOCATION: Trust wide

RESPONSIBLE TO: THERAPY EXECUTIVE LEAD FOR OT/PT

PROFESSIONALLY ACCOUNTABLE TO: THERAPY EXECUTIVE LEAD FOR OT/PT

HOURS PER WEEK: Variable – Bank Position

Key Result Areas
  • To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to patients in all rotational areas.
  • To acquire and demonstrate knowledge of relevant pathologies, conditions, normal values relating to the specialist area of physiotherapy.
  • To be responsible for own case load and be responsible within a defined area of the service and to undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
  • To supervise and contribute to the training and development of physiotherapy assistants and junior physiotherapists and physiotherapy students.
  • To make recommendations for service development, with active involvement in the implementation of changes to practice or service protocols.
