Role: Oncology/Haematology Pharmacist
Banding: Band 8a
Location: Walsall
Duration: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday (long days accepted)
Rate: Day: £34 – £39 per hour

About the role:

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 8A Oncology/Haematology Pharmacist to join our team in Walsall. This is a full-time position with an immediate start. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, with the option of long days.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Screening chemotherapy prescriptions for oncology, haematology, and medical day cases.
  • Ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Providing expert advice on the use of chemotherapy and other medications.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • GPhC registered.
  • Proven experience in screening chemotherapy prescriptions.
  • Strong knowledge of oncology and haematology medications.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Training:

Training will be provided for the use of the electronic prescribing system, Chemo care.
