Job Title: Clinical/Counselling Psychologist
Rate: £40.32 - £41.02 PH
Working Pattern: 4 days per week (Mon-Fri), 9am-5pm
Team: Merton Single Point of Access (SPA), CAMHS
Start Date: ASAP - 4 weeks
Contract Duration: 3-6 months ongoing

What You'll Be Doing:

You'll join an exciting new initiative within Merton SPA, supporting the development of new support streams including self-referrals for 16-17-year-olds, short-term treatment sessions, and enhanced consultation to schools. You'll work closely with the 8b Professional Lead to:

1. Provide clinical supervision to Band 7 staff and trainees
2. Support day-to-day SPA operations, including case discussions
3. Lead triage and assessments of new referrals
4. Deliver evidence-based short-term interventions
5. Liaise with external agencies and contribute to strategic service development

Requirements & Qualifications:

1. HCPC registration as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
2. Significant post-qualification experience with children/adolescents in community settings
3. Skilled in psychological assessments, complex formulations, and brief therapeutic interventions
4. Experience with risk assessments, MDT collaboration, and inter-agency work
5. Previous leadership or supervisory experience desirable

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

Schedule: 4 days per week (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm)
Contract: 3-6 months ongoing
Start Date: ASAP - 4 weeks
