Role: Locum Pharmacist
Banding: Band 7
Location: London
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 27th December 2024
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 09:00AM – 17:30PM
Note: You may be required to work Saturdays from 09:00 to 12:30 until work is complete.
Rate: £28 – £34 per hour

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Pharmacist to join our team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

You will provide pharmaceutical care in various clinical ward areas, ensuring optimal medication management and patient safety. You will offer expertise in Surgical and Cardiology wards, assisting with medication therapy management and patient consultations. You will manage and support patients dealing with complications following oncology treatments, ensuring comprehensive medical care. You will conduct regular medication reviews and adjustments based on patient needs and clinical guidelines. You will work closely with healthcare teams, including doctors, nurses, and other pharmacists, to deliver integrated patient care. You will educate patients and their families about medication regimens, potential side effects, and overall health management. You will maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication histories and treatment plans. You will ensure all practices comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Education and Qualifications:
    • GPhC Registered.
    • 1 year pre-registration training.
    • Master’s degree in pharmacy (MPharm) accredited by the GPhC.
    • Prior NHS hospital experience, particularly in clinical ward areas.
    • Experience covering a range of specialties, including Surgical and Cardiology.
    • Proficiency in managing patients’ post-oncology complications and all medical cases.
    • Please note, this role does not involve oncology screening or management.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
    • Strong knowledge of medicines and their applications.
