Are you an experienced Biomedical Scientist with Histology expertise seeking a rewarding locum role in Central London? We have an excellent opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

Job Title: Histology Biomedical Scientist Band 7
Location: Central London
Duration: 2 month rolling contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
Rate of Pay: £30 - 33 per hour DOE (umbrella equivalent)

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Biomedical Scientist in Histology, you’ll play a vital role in providing top-quality diagnostic services. In this role, your duties will include:

  • Performing histology lab tests and preparing samples for diagnostic analysis
  • Carrying out microtomy, embedding, and staining procedures
  • Ensuring adherence to high laboratory standards and proper sample handling
  • Collaborating with senior scientists to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of quality control protocols
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care

Requirements & Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Strong experience in Histology, including microtomy and embedding
  • Knowledge of laboratory testing and specimen preparation techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A dedication to providing high-quality, efficient laboratory services
  • Full right to work in the UK (we are unable to provide sponsorship)

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

The role is based on a Monday to Friday schedule, with 37.5 hours per week, and there is some flexibility where needed. The initial contract is for 2 months which will be on a rolling basis, subject to performance and service needs.
