Are you a Band 7/8a Pharmacist with experience in Cancer Services and looking for a rewarding locum role? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a hospital-based team in Birmingham/Worcestershire, with great pay and flexibility!

Job Title: Band 7/8a Pharmacist
Location: Birmingham/Worcestershire
Duration: Ongoing Contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Start Date: March 2025
Rate of Pay: £30 - £40 per hour

What You'll Be Doing:

Join our team as a Band 7/8a Pharmacist and play a key role in providing safe and effective chemotherapy services to patients. In this role, you will:

  1. Professionally screen and release chemotherapy prescriptions.
  2. Ensure the safe and accurate preparation of chemotherapy regimens.
  3. Provide clinical advice and guidance to medical and nursing staff regarding chemotherapy and cancer care.
  4. Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions to optimise cancer treatments.
  5. Ensure adherence to national cancer care guidelines and local protocols.

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A current and valid GPhC registration as a Pharmacist.
  2. Significant experience in Cancer Services and screening/releasing chemotherapy.
  3. Strong clinical knowledge of chemotherapy regimens and cancer treatment protocols.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  6. A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role offers a full-time position requiring availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The contract is for an ongoing period, with the possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
