Location: Ashford and St Peter's NHS Trust

Pay Rate: GBP20 to GBP24 per hour

Pay Mechanism: Direct Engagement

Contract Duration: 02/04/2025 - 30/05/2025

Job Overview:

Atlantis Medical is seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the inpatient team at Ashford & St. Peter's Hospital. This role involves working in a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality physiotherapy care, supporting patients' rehabilitation and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assess, diagnose, and create treatment plans for patients with various medical conditions in an inpatient setting.
2. Work collaboratively with nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
3. Develop and implement rehabilitation programs to promote patient mobility and independence.
4. Conduct regular progress reviews and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
5. Educate patients, families, and carers on rehabilitation and self-management techniques.
6. Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with NHS standards and guidelines.
7. Assist in discharge planning to support a smooth transition for patients leaving the hospital.

Requirements:

1. HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
2. Minimum 6 months NHS experience in an inpatient setting.
3. Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Experience in rehabilitation, post-operative care, or general medical wards is desirable.
