Band 6 Acute Medical Occupational Therapist - Milton Keynes - START ASAP!

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist. Could that be you?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and motivated Band 6 Acute Medical Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team in the Milton Keynes area.

Location: Milton Keynes

Start: ASAP!

Pay: £25-26 p/h depending on experience

Clinical Area: Medical

Hours: Full-time and part-time hours available

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive assessments, interventions, and treatments to patients in an acute hospital setting.
  2. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and patient-centred care.
  3. Tailor therapy interventions to meet the individual needs of patients in various specialties such as neuro, ortho, stroke, and elderly care.
  4. Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans to improve patients' functional abilities and independence.
  5. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
  6. Support in discharge planning and assist patients in their rehabilitation journey.

Required Skills & Experience:

  1. HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  2. Experience in acute settings or a keen interest in working in a hospital environment (prior experience in acute and medical is essential).
  3. Strong clinical reasoning and the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centred care.
  5. Flexible approach to working hours, with a willingness to consider full-time or part-time opportunities.
