  • Rate: £24.00 – £34.00 P/H

Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled Band 6 Locum Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Queen Mary’s Hospital in London. This role involves providing specialist assessment and rehabilitation for patients with acquired neurological communication and/or swallowing disorders across level 1 and level 2 neuro-rehabilitation units.

Responsibilities:

As a Band 6/7 Locum Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapist you will be responsible for delivering expert assessment and management for conditions such as aphasia, Cognitive Communication Disorder, dysarthria, apraxia of speech, and dysphagia. Extensive experience in working with neurological communication and swallowing disorders within an inpatient neuro-rehabilitation setting is essential. The role requires a high level of clinical expertise, the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Extensive experience in working with neurological communication and swallowing disorders
  • Proven skills in the assessment and management of aphasia, Cognitive Communication Disorder, dysarthria, apraxia of speech, and dysphagia
  • Previous experience in an inpatient neuro-rehabilitation setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
