Job summary

Melksham and Bradford-on-Avon Community Team is looking for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to work full time in our dynamic and professional team. We are a large, friendly multi-disciplinary team whose aim is to help individuals remain in their own home, reaching their maximum potential. From triage to urgent call outs, rehabilitation following a hospital stay and prevention of hospital admissions, you will work alongside our existing therapists to provide timely and skilled assessment and treatment to our diverse range of patients with physical health conditions. The post-holder will work in patients' homes and residential homes and work professionally in a multi-disciplinary team, alongside Community Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Clinical Leads. You will also work closely with the GP Practices in the local area.

Main duties of the job

Provide support and education to peers, new staff non-registered staff and students.

Minimum Requirements
  • Dip COT/BSc/BSc(Hons)/MSc OT
  • Registered as an OT with the Health professional Council
  • To possess a current, valid full driving licence
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

  • Experience of applying research based information to practice
