About the role:

The Pharmacy team is seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 5 Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Oxford. This is a temporary position with an immediate start, lasting for three months. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, totalling 37.5 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Medicines Management: Ensure the safe, effective, and economical use of medicines.
  • Accuracy Checking: Perform accuracy checks on prescriptions and medication orders.
  • Hospital Experience: Utilize your hospital pharmacy experience to support the team and improve patient care.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential:
    • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification.
    • GPhC Registered: Must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Desirable:
    • Previous NHS hospital experience.
    • Proven experience in medicines management, accuracy checking, and working in a hospital setting.
    • Proficiency in labelling and dispensing medications.
