ARE YOU AN ASPIRING GENERIC THERAPY SUPPORT WORKER? IF YES, THEN WE WANT YOU! The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Physiotherapists and/or Occupational Therapists based at Good Hope. THIS ROLE IS FOR 22.5 HOURS A WEEK.
We offer brilliant development opportunities including dedicated Therapy Support Worker (TSW) in service training, buddying system, one to one supervision as well as an apprenticeship scheme.
This post is a unique opportunity for an experienced TSW to complete competencies in the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy disciplines as well as manage their own caseload.
The role includes working efficiently with the Multi-Disciplinary Team to complete thorough assessments to determine appropriate treatments, rehabilitation and discharge destination. Short Stay is a fast-paced area so it's vitally important that you are proactive and possess excellent organisational skills. We are looking for someone who is passionate about preventing deconditioning on a ward.

Main Duties of the Job
The role of a Therapy Support Worker is to support the delivery of therapy services to patients within the medical setting. The Therapy Support Worker will work under the supervision of Registered Therapists and will be responsible for an agreed specific caseload. The role will support a range of therapy professions, covering predominantly Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists who work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the Short Stay Team at Good Hope Hospital.
The Therapy Support Worker will be required to work on the wards, and within the acute assessment units may be required to conduct visits to patients' homes. The trust is committed to providing a 7 day service and therefore the role is on a 7 day working rota.
