You will be expected to meet high standards of physical, relational and procedural security within our medium secure mental health service. You will be recruited to support Ardenleigh Hospital which is a Medium Secure Unit. While you will be based in one of our three MSUs, you may need to support the other MSU sites within Birmingham.
We are looking for a post holder who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and efficient, who can work as part of a team and independently. Ideally, the post holder would have experience of working in secure environments and must hold a working understanding of the concepts of physical, procedural, and relational security.
You will have an eye for detail, be able to undertake audits, searches, and checks, and be able to identify and implement changes to working practices to enhance security in the service. You may also be required to provide cover for the Control Room, where full training will be offered.

You will also be required to sign up to the DBS Update Service before commencement with the Trust. The Trust will reimburse this. You will be contractually obliged to maintain your subscription.
All successful applicants will be required to complete the Trust’s induction programme. The Fundamental (Statutory and Mandatory) training will be in an e-learning format. You will be required to complete training modules online (approx. 9-14 hours depending on post) by the end of your second week with us.
