Job SummaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen within Women's and Children's Division at Watford General Hospital. We are a friendly, hard-working team of administrative, nursing, and medical staff. We take great pride in helping our patients and in delivering the best service we can.
We are looking for an experienced Patient Services Officer who is a self-motivated and committed person, to work as part of our busy team in our back office.
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills, excellent organisational and I.T skills, and the ability to prioritise workload and work with limited supervision.
Main duties of the job- Reception & ANC cover, making/rescheduling appointments, cashing up clinics.
- Puling/ordering notes, printing clinic lists & prepping for clinics.
- General filing.
- Tracking notes & printing labels.
- To ensure patient data is accurate & up to date.
- To undertake any other administrative duties as directed by The Senior Office Manager.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with Grade C or above in English and Maths
Desirable- ECDL Customer Service Training
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration, Customer Service, Healthcare support services or equivalent qualification
KnowledgeEssential- Competent in Microsoft Office programs
- Understanding of information governance issues and how to manage confidential patient information
Desirable- Knowledge of Patient Administration Systems, (e.g.) Cerner Millenium
ExperienceEssential- Experience of working in a busy environment
- Experience working in an administrative role
Desirable- Previous healthcare experience
