Band 3 Health Care Assistant - Renal Haemodialysis

As an HCA, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of safe, effective and high quality care to patients who require haemodialysis.

Job Summary

• As a member of the multidisciplinary team the post holder will contribute to the delivery of patients’ individual care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
• The Senior Health Care Assistant demonstrates a level of skill and understanding which enables them to undertake specific tasks delegated by the registered nurse and in accordance with relevant procedures, guidelines, and policies. S/he will undertake both routine and specially identified tasks for which they have been trained and assessed as competent.
• Assist with the induction, supervision and training and development of Band 2 Health Care Assistants under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• There is the opportunity to develop within the role and undertake further training and development.
• To act as a role model for student nurses and colleagues.
