Location: Paddington (Hybrid)
Salary/Rate: Up to £455 per day (Inside IR35)
Start Date: 28/04/2025

Company Introduction
Our client is a leading UK Telecommunications service provider, they are urgently seeking a Backend developer specialising in NodeJS, TypeScript and Google Kubernetes Engine.

Required Skills/Experience

1. NodeJS: Efficient run time for building server-side applications.
2. TypeScript: Open-Source programme language superset of JavaScript with additional features.
3. GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine): Managed service for deploying and scaling containerised applications.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

1. Expert Backend developer with extensive experience in NodeJS, TypeScript and GKE required for a 6 month contract.
2. A Senior Technical Leader with proven extensive experience or a proven track record of handling multiple projects or larger, more complex systems than a Technical Lead.
3. Ability to grasp and understand both Technical and Business aspects, enabling them to make strategic technical decisions that impact multiple teams or even entire departments within engineering while delivering solutions that delight the business/product.
4. Take a broader scope, often overseeing multiple projects or cross-functional efforts within engineering and providing leadership in the teams/squads.
5. Expected to work closely with enterprise/solution architecture stakeholders to write the application architecture design for the solution(s) and guide/mentor the technical leaders of the squad(s) within Frontend Engineering to design and architect a scalable and reliable solution meeting business needs.
