Senior Backend Developer – Hybrid | c. £70,000

Are you an experienced Backend Developer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment? We're working with a well-established, privately owned online travel business undergoing a major digital transformation – and they’re now looking to bring in a talented developer to help shape the next phase of their tech journey.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You’ll lead on rebuilding a high-volume pricing platform, modernising legacy systems, and supporting complex backend architecture. While the role leans heavily towards backend work, you’ll occasionally contribute to front-end projects to ensure seamless integration across systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Rebuild and modernise existing systems with minimal PHP maintenance.
• Design and develop backend services in C# and PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate on front-end features using Node.js and React when needed.
• Support Python-based AI content projects.
• Apply your DevOps and Linux expertise to ensure robust deployment and scalability (Docker, AWS).
• Take ownership of projects from concept to delivery in a flat, agile team.

What You’ll Need:

• Strong backend experience (C# preferred), with solid PostgreSQL knowledge.
• Systems architecture and API integration experience.
• Comfortable with front-end tech (Node/React) for full-stack delivery.
• DevOps skills: Linux command line, Docker, AWS, and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with Git and modern development tools.
• A self-driven mindset and willingness to adapt to new tech.
